In poverty terms, Kitutu Chache ranks number 170 out of Kenya's 210 constituencies, and yet the constituency lies in one of the country's most fertile agricultural areas. Problems include rampant insecurity, inadequate learning facilities and equipment, poor health facilities, lack of a clean water supply, and dilapidated infrastructure. Poor service delivery is a constant reality. A believer in leading from the front, Julius intends to provide a fresh, visionary and constructive leadership that will create opportunities to empower the community socially and economically and to put in place policies and programmes to promote constructive social and economic relationships. Julius holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi.

Vision Statement:  To steward transformational leadership at all levels in Kitutu Chache so that devolved funds can be used more efficiently and transparently for development and to improve the lives of the community, without discrimination.

Irene, 25, is contesting for the Waitaluk Ward in Trans-Nzoia District during the 2007 General Elections. For her this is just the first step in her political walk as her eyes are set further up the political ladder come 2027.  Irene believes that the only way to end the politics of opportunism and dishonesty that is the bane of Kenya is to placing a servant leadership where government is closest to the people - local authorities. Irene holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Moi University where she majored in French, English and Literature, and honed her leadership skills as a student leader serving on the Governing Council.

Vision Statement:  To plant my ethical and value-driven seed of leadership for the benefit of the society that I lead in order to foster social justice and development for all.
